PolicyOS Pilot Starts 1 November: What Early Agencies Will Get
The PolicyOS pilot starts on 1 November 2026. The public release follows on 18 November 2026. That leaves seventeen days in which a group of early agencies will be working in PolicyOS before anyone else.
This post covers what that timeline means, what early agencies get from it, and how to get your team ready. If you run policy operations day to day, this is written for you.
The two dates
There are two dates to keep in your calendar.
- 1 November 2026: pilot launch. Agencies on the pilot start using PolicyOS from this day.
- 18 November 2026: public release. PolicyOS becomes generally available.
The gap between them is short on purpose. It is long enough for pilot agencies to put PolicyOS to work on real policy operations, and short enough that nobody is left waiting months for the wider release.
What early agencies get
The main thing the pilot gives you is time. Agencies on the pilot are using PolicyOS from day one, 1 November, which puts them ahead of the public release by more than two weeks.
In practice, that head start matters in a few ways:
- Your team learns the product first. By the time PolicyOS is public, the people who run your policy operations will already have worked in it.
- Your workflows get tested against it early. You find out how PolicyOS fits the way your agency actually handles policies, not the way a demo assumes you do.
- Your questions get asked early. Pilot agencies are the first to raise what works, what is unclear and what they need next.
PolicyOS is InsurEco's policy administration product. It is built for the people who handle policy work every day, and the pilot is where that work meets the product first.
Why run a pilot before public release
A policy administration system sits in the middle of daily operations. Every endorsement, renewal and change passes through it. That makes it worth seeing in real use before it goes to everyone.
A pilot gives the product a period of real-world use with agencies that have chosen to be early. It gives those agencies a say before the public release, rather than after it. And it gives everyone a clear starting line: 1 November for the pilot, 18 November for the public.
How to prepare before 1 November
If you want to be on the pilot, a little preparation now will make the first days more useful. None of this needs PolicyOS access; it is about getting your own house in order.
Decide who will be involved
Pick the people who will work in PolicyOS during the pilot. The best choice is usually the people who handle policy administration day to day, not only the people who sign off on software. They are the ones who will notice what fits and what does not.
Pick the work you want to look at first
Write down two or three parts of your policy operations that take the most time or cause the most rework. Having these in mind from day one gives your pilot a focus, instead of clicking around to see what happens.
Write down your current process
A short, honest description of how a policy moves through your agency today is worth having. It does not need to be formal. A list of steps and who does each one is enough. It gives you something concrete to compare against.
Set aside time in the first two weeks
The seventeen days between pilot launch and public release go quickly. Block out time for your team in that window so the pilot does not get squeezed by everything else in the diary.
What happens on 18 November
On 18 November 2026, PolicyOS moves from pilot to public release. Pilot agencies will already be working in it. Everyone else can start from that date.
If you would rather wait for the public release, that is a perfectly sensible choice. The pilot is for agencies that want to be first in and are ready to put real policy work through the product from 1 November.
Join the waitlist
Places on the pilot come through the PolicyOS waitlist. If your agency wants to start on 1 November, join the waitlist at policyos.io and get your team ready using the steps above.
To recap:
- 1 November 2026: the PolicyOS pilot starts.
- 18 November 2026: PolicyOS public release.
- The way in: the waitlist.
If you run policy operations and want a head start, now is the time to get on the list.
